Every now and again, someone discovers my fiction and gets really confused.
That's OK. While I am willing to let the planet peek over my shoulder, I'm writing it for me. Eventually I may polish it up all into seven thick books. More likely I won't.
The Global War Of Terror (that's what GWOT stands for) has been explained elsewhere. I'll take another stab at it from a different angle.
GWOT I - someone takes a match to the City By The Bay
GWOT II - the rise of Homeland
GWOT III - the fall of the titular character, Echo 18
GWOT IV - war crimes and the people who commit them
GWOT V - people don't cross borders, borders cross people
GWOT VI - genocide, you're soaking in it
GWOT VII - what are we going to do about the monkeys playing with matches on the petrol dump?
For Reasons, the next tale will be particularly difficult to parse out. Don't take it in a modern context. Because the LAPD I'll write about bears little to no resemblance to its pre-war predecessor.
