The Democrats extended the Patriot Act!

Yes, that's right, the Democrats, the majority party in Congress, extended the blatantly unConstitutional Patriot Act! Including the library records provisions!

If you care about freedom in this country, read this article about how they tried to hide the vote, find your Congressional representatives, and give them a piece of your mind.

This is outrageous. This is toxic. Pick one: Tea Party or Coffee Party.

You can vote for the Democrats, who promise progressive stuff but rarely deliver it and don't seem to give a shit. You might occasionally get something useful out of them. They do less overt damage.

You can vote for the Republicans, who are blatantly against progressive agenda. You will rarely if ever get anything useful out of them. They have done massive damage and would be delighted to do more. This fucked up mess the country is in? They made that.

You can vote for the Green, Progressive, Libertarian, or other alternative party. They have some awesome ideas. They rarely get elected, and when elected, do not have the power to make the jackasses and the white elephants do what the voters want.

Take your pick.

I'm aware of my options.

As one Libertarian friend put it, "When 49% of the country is trying to steal my money, and the other 49% is trying to lynch me, throwing my 2% behind the people with an open window to escape through is the only logical choice."

I have voted Democrat to play the game. No more. Not when they have the means and the power but lack the guts and the moral courage.
