In the meantime, set your "Adult content options" as follows:

"No Adult Content"
"Do Not Collapse Adult Content"
"Do Not Filter Adult Content"

. . . to restore the functionality that used to exist.

No you are not fully understanding your options.

You can flag individual messages - when you post them or edit them afterwards to change their settings.

So you leave your journal set rated 'G' and then only flag what you want to, if you want to.

Or have it set with the moderate setting, and then mark the ones you think are 'G'. The options at the bottom include 'journal default' or not.
