We need tougher laws on SUVs. These heavy high-clearance vehicles have been directly involved in a number of multiple fatalities. I personally feel that SUVs should require a special license, criminal background check, 10 day waiting period, no more than 1 SUV per 30 days and only SUVs from the California approved list should be sold in the state. And ban the evil-looking H2 and Hummer because of their resemblance to military vehicles. Funny, the gasoline truck driver in the MacArthur Maze was specially licensed, background check, and all . . . and he still had a bad accident. I guess we should ban trucks? My point is that more laws are not always the answer.

You know... instead of banning more silly things, I really feel that perhaps encouraging the purchase of more ecological vehicles could be rewarded? You know, instead of spending tax money and wasting time banning everything under the sun, we spend tax money and encourage people to do the right things. Nieve, maybe, but I'd rather see people going around buying, say, a good hybrid or (gasp) wholely electric car, then buying another monster car that uses resources faster. Or, like, a program that actually pays and does recycle computers and electronics... instead of say shipping them to china where they burn the mess for us.

You know, just little things like that.
