from Yelp review of Pokez:

An eyewitness to the mentioned (and unprovoked!) attack on a child is a good personal friend of mine, who I have always found to be reliable and trustworthy.

The restaurant owners are telling callers and visitors that the incident did not occur. In short, they're lying.

If they lie about their business, they certainly lie about what's in the food. Do you trust them to only use healthy, fresh ingredients and keep them in the fridge? Or do you think that meth-heads, junkies and control freaks might occasionally forget to wash their hands after shooting up; pick up food off the floor where they dropped it; and/or spit in your food if they don't like your clean-cut looks? I've worked in restaurants and I've seen all three.

I have no doubt that the kitchen at Pokez is as at least as clean as any crack house floor. I suspect that the one positive review is a pathetic attempt at spin control by the owner or one of his crackhead employees. I don't think it's wise to eat at a restaurant which cannot guarantee your safety from it's own employees.

That said, make your own decision.

I know the witness, and I know the child. I know the child can be a frustrating kid at times, and the parents are honest about this, and that if he were being a pill, they'd have said so.

I know that whether or not he was being a pill, it was out of place for the server or manager to have behaved as described.

I know, also, that none of these people there would make this up. I have absolutely zero doubt that it happened as described.
