Writer's Block: Banking for Phones

[Error: unknown template qotd]

I use my credit union's automated telephone service to check balances, audit transactions and transfer funds. I use their comprehensive Web site for almost all other matters. My credit union membership arms me with more ATMs than even Chase or Bank of America -- just look for the Co-Op Network logo. Anywhere there's a 7-11, I have an ATM.

Yes, my smartphone is smart enough to do Flash. Is yours?

Anyone who banks in a world of credit unions is a moron and has cash to burn. Anyone who banks with Chase in particular is exceptionally stupid and dense.

I kicked BofA to the curb a year and a half ago.

My credit union has already saved me a bunch of money. Plus, I like them, they recognize me when I come in to the branch, and sometimes they have bake sales for charity. Plus, the local cops tend to bank there.

Thanks!

Nice to know you consider me a moron.

Didn't know you banked with Chase. Think I know why you do. Nothing personal, really. Out of town on business, will call to grovel appropriately when I can.

I don't bank with Chase, actually. I'm with Wells Fargo. So I'm not exceptionally stupid and dense. But I am still someone who banks in a world of credit unions.

Also, apologies. I normally would have just ignored the blanket statement about anyone who banks in a world of credit unions being a moron. But I was having an exceptionally crappy day in about two weeks of crappy and I took it out on you. I was mildly irritated by the blanket statement, really. Not angry. Normally I'd have just grumbled a little to myself and moved on. A combination of nearly two weeks daily vet visits, lack of sleep, and family infighting already had me angry, and that was spark to my tinder. This may be the reason, but it doesn't excuse that I perpetrated drive-by bitchiness. So again, apologies. You didn't deserve getting snapped at.

I don't, and I don't want to. End of story.
