The money pros are doing basically one of three things:
1) holding pat and counting on long term market growth (this is actually most common)
2) shifting investments to strong foreign sectors, especially in regulated markets like Japan, and precious metals
3) scooping up what they perceive as great deals, but very very carefully
The rest of us shall merely have to suffer a bit. Stock your pantries, it's gonna be an interesting winter.
