Repeating the same tired lies over and over again does not make them truth.

What on earth does "supporting our troops" have to do with telling the truth about Gitmo?

Amnesty International is not a neo-Communist organization, nor is it anti-American (in fact, by its own charter). I will allow them to speak for themselves:

About Amnesty International

"AI’s vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.

"In pursuit of this vision, AI’s mission is to undertake research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discrimination, within the context of its work to promote all human rights.

"AI is independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion. It does not support or oppose any government or political system, nor does it support or oppose the views of the victims whose rights it seeks to protect. It is concerned solely with the impartial protection of human rights."

The abuses at Gitmo have been documented by groups such as the International Red Cross based on credible accounts from eyewitnesses including soldiers, reporters and lawyers. Detailed reports are available. I have read them. Clearly, you have not.

Show me where our "soldiers there in uniform" have denied the accurate reports of what is going on inside. If anything the opposite.

I refer you to Inside the Wire, a first person account by an American soldier about the subject in question.

I quote from the Amazon review:

"Saar couldn't have been more eager to get to Gitmo. After two years in the army learning Arabic, becoming a military intelligence linguist, he pounced on the chance to apply his new skills to extracting crucial intel from the terrorists. But when he walked through the heavily guarded, double-locked and double-gated fence line surrounding Camp Delta -- the special facility built for the "worst of the worst" al Qaeda and Taliban suspects - he entered a bizarre world that defied everything he'd expected, belied a great deal of what the Pentagon has claimed, and defiled the most cherished values of American life."

Read, if you dare. Be ashamed, if you can.

If you don't have an account you can create one now.
HTML doesn't work in the subject.
