This post is directed to everyone I know, and everyone I don't for that matter, but with a particular emphasis and great respect towards the opposite gender.

From Now On And Henceforth,

It is OK for you to set solid and distinct boundaries and reinforce them immediately and dramatically when crossed (“mean”)

It is OK for you to appear distraught or emotional (“crazy”)

It is OK for you to make personal decisions that the adults or other peers in your life do not agree with, and It is also OK to refuse to explain those decisions to others (“stuck-up”)

It is OK for you to refuse to agree with somebody, over and over and over again (“angry”)

It is OK for you to have (or express) conflicted, fluid, or experimental feelings about yourself, your body, your sexuality, your desires, and your needs (“got daddy issues”)

It is OK for you to use your physical strength (if you have it) to set physical boundaries (“dyke”)

It is OK for you to raise your voice (“shrill”)

It is OK for you to completely and utterly shut down somebody who obviously likes you (“mean dyke/frigid”)

If it helps, think of Lady Sally of the infamous Lady Sally's Place saying the above in a faux-British accent. Of course, she says it better than even this, in a single sweeping quote, but you'll have to read that in one of the books where she appears as a character.

Send money to these crazy people. Really. They take credit cards and Paypal from their main donation page. They also accept old school donations by mail.

Reiser Relief is a crazy small but 501(c)3 charity which was providing lifesaving water to thousands well before the earthquake in Haiti, and will do wonderful things with tiny amounts of money that are lost in the noise when given to larger organizations.

From Reiser Relief (http://reiserrelief.com/):

“Clean Water” is a key factor for life – which is program Reiser Relief Inc., has been doing since 2005 with a “Water Deliver Truck” This water truck operates six days a week making four trips to many neighborhoods; totaling 84,000 gallons of drinkable fresh water each week to Cite Soleil. Our hope is to gain $25,000 to bring into operation a second water truck and increase to a wider delivery area.

Reiser Relief Inc. has built schools and orphanages, with cisterns to hold water and sanitary block and this would be the long term relief plan to rebuild them again. Removal and clean up of debris with our Bobcat and Dump Truck. Provide electricity where needed with our generator. Provide clean water, food and medical to: - Grace Village Orphanages — 53 children, 16 adults/staff - Schools in Cite Soleil, Les Pinasse and Titanyen — 1425 children, 60 staff - Elderly in Titanyen — 17 individuals and 2 staff families - Street Children - Water Truck Workers

Their second truck is almost up and running. They have raised $29,000 since the quake but this is a group where a few pennies more will make an enormous difference.

See the following YouTube video. Remember, this was taken BEFORE the earthquake!
