Dec. 30th, 2006 10:12 pmIt had to be done. Note that this icon is similar to, but is not the same as, the icon abandoned by DHS and FEMA.
It is recognizably a circle with a pyramid inside, but the angles of the pyramid overlap the circle. The legend "Citizen Defense" (in small print) has been added underneath.
The suggestion of the ever-watchful Eye (as found in US currency) is not only preserved but expanded.
I will be using this userpic for posts involving terrorism, national security, and other challenges facing the survival-minded citizen in the 21st century. I consider the question of the rights of citizens and the prosecution of criminals to be inextricably mixed. I consider terrorists to be a particularly despicable breed of criminal.
I submit that Hurricane Katrina was the wakeup call for all Americans. The Feds are not coming.
Be ready to defend yourself, your family, your community, your state and your nation. No one is going to do it for us.
